Sales Launch at The Daymark in Sleepy Hollow, NY

Biddle Real Estate Ventures (BREV) and PCD Development today announced the launch of sales at The Daymark, a new residential property featuring striking condominium residences and exceptional amenities in historic Sleepy Hollow, NY.

Distinguished as the first building to be located directly along the water within the sought-after Edge-on-Hudson mixed-use community, The Daymark is poised to set a new standard for waterfront living with a collection of 100 new-construction condominium residences, unrivaled amenities and picturesque panoramas of the Hudson River. With architecture and interior spaces imagined by acclaimed COOKFOX, a leader in biophilic design, The Daymark effortlessly harmonizes with its natural surroundings where a new waterfront park and pedestrian walkway have reconnected the storied Village with the shoreline. Adding to the allure and activated community setting, The Daymark will introduce 9,000 square feet of premium retail space, including Edge-on-Hudson’s first waterfront restaurant. Houston-based Hines serves as development manager for the project.

Currently rising at 4 Lighthouse Landing, with easy access to Manhattan via either train or car, The Daymark features a collection of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, as well as townhome-style residences with private maisonette entrances and stoops that create an authentic neighborhood feel. Multiple balconies, terraces, patio access and gracious loggias promote indoor/outdoor living and provide stunning views of the Hudson River, Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse and the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. The Marketing Directors is the property’s exclusive marketing and sales agent.

“We are thrilled to officially launch sales at The Daymark, a design-driven property that takes full advantage of its remarkable waterfront setting,” said Jonathan Stein, Founder and Managing Director of PCD Development. “Inspired by the site’s history and relationship to the river, the thoughtful COOKFOX design weaves together contextual architectural elements with sophisticated living spaces and outdoor areas to create a one-of-a-kind residential experience in The Hudson Valley.”

Peter Chavkin, Managing Member of Biddle Real Estate Ventures, added “The Daymark is an elegant addition to Edge-on-Hudson, presenting an extraordinary fusion of nature and the contemporary urban lifestyle. The property contributes to our overarching vision of reactivating the waterfront in a manner that seamlessly blends the vibrancy and convenience of Manhattan-style living with the serene charm of a suburban retreat.”

COOKFOX referenced the rich blue-gray deposits located in the Hudson River’s bays and coves for The Daymark’s façade, sourcing a custom blend of variegated warm gray brick, while zinc panels subtly shift in appearance throughout the day, mirroring the graceful movement of the sun.

“For The Daymark, we focused on the past industrial heritage of the riverfront, the rich craftsmanship tradition of the Hudson Valley, and an active relationship to the water,” said Luca Baraldo, COOKFOX Associate Partner and Interiors Director. “From orienting the lush terraces towards the riverbank, to employing local brick on the exterior and warm, natural finishes with organic patterns in the interiors, we crafted The Daymark residences to honor the beauty of the surrounding landscape and foster a sense of connectedness and wellbeing.”

Refined Residential Interiors

The expansive homes at The Daymark were uniquely fashioned to maximize the property’s waterfront location. Upscale finishes and appointments include insulated glass picture windows, 9’ ceilings in all living areas, white oak engineered wide plank flooring with herringbone entry accents, LG washers and fully-vented dryers, oak entry doors, and powder rooms in every residence. Custom COOKFOX-designed kitchens feature a Sub-Zero-Wolf appliance package, including gas cooktops, ovens, integrated refrigerators/freezers and a wine refrigerator; herringbone mosaic marble backsplashes, integrated microwaves and Cove dishwashers, and fully vented Thermador hoods to improve indoor air quality. To promote resident health and wellbeing, natural materials, a fresh air filtration system, and generously proportioned windows that amplify daylight are featured in every home.

Unparalleled Amenities, Inside and Out

The Daymark’s extensive offering of outdoor space is highlighted by two waterfront courtyards designed by Future Green Studio. The property’s west courtyard is activated with a pool and sundeck, hot tub, fire pit, pergola and lounge seating areas. The east courtyard will feature barbecue grills, al fresco dining spaces, and a viewing terrace. A shaded rooftop dining terrace and outdoor lounge provide an escape to bask in the serenity of the riverfront setting.

When indoors, homeowners will enjoy a double-height, attended lobby designed to evoke the warmth of returning home, with a stone floor reminiscent of a riverbed and a harmonious composition of natural materials. A prominent curving staircase will encourage the flow of residents and guests into the shared amenities spaces above which will include a screening room, library with fireplace, co-working lounge with private meeting room and study, events room with private kitchen and dining, coffee bar, fitness center by Aktiv, yoga studio, children’s playroom, and a pet spa. A separate resident lounge will feature billiards, an extra-large television, card table, and outdoor access. Additionally, residents will enjoy daily shuttle service to Tarrytown’s Metro-North train station during weekday commuter hours.
